Reality Excerpts

Loving the Unlovable
“The faucet turned on, wakening his sleep-ridden eyes. He saw the beauty that was the purely white snow white. Her eyes were closed and she lay in a perfect body hugging position. All he wanted was to wake her, to see her beautiful eyes. He turned to her and gave her what he could, a drip of water every day. Her back would arch and she would moan. Past a week, he got tired of waiting for her moan that would lead to a wake up. He decided to give more and more drips and drops to get her eyes to open. But the more he gave, the more she lost. Her body withered away making him worry and causing him to give even more. “I must wake her up, she seems so unhealthy, she screams all day and her ribs are starting to show!” and drip, drip, drip he would go. Every day, he would turn on and pursue his goal to save the sleeping beauty. One day, he woke up to see her gone. Her bed was soaked and dripping with bits and pieces of her in the corner. He couldn’t turn on today, his heat was gone and never to drip again. The poor shower though didn’t know that soap could melt.”

Alice sat in her garage pressed up to the wall desperately pushing her lighter to ignite. She had a joint ready to go to mix with her acid. The smoke, once she calmed her self enough to have it light, filled her lungs after she inhaled and held in the THC. The smoke snaked back and further in between her arms to her legs until it spreads across the floor only to disappear. Every bronchiole clogged with the chemicals. She lifted her head from being bent over and then let it fall back. She slid into her relaxed position starring at nothing but the ceiling.

Alice opened her eyes to look around the garage as she finished up her joint. The smoke began to mock images of Thomas. She made out his face within the clouds. She watched his body form with it and he began to run, away from the smoke, away from her, until a second smoke strand caught up with him and tightened around his body, constricting more and more until Thomas was no more. Their night was gone but if Alice could, she would relive it. Maybe it was the Molly or maybe the weed but they both told her he was something extraordinary.
